This February, we traveled to see the brothers and sisters of Irapuato, Salamanca, León, Silao, Celaya, and Querétaro, visiting them and praying together.
- Please pray for Romeo and his wife, Mary, from Querétaro. They are currently separated due to infidelity, so we are encouraging and praying for repentance and reconciliation for God’s glory. Marco and Jazzkara will disciple them in the coming months.
- We also visited First Baptist Church of Celaya, which has a Mexican Sign Language (LSM) interpreter. Pray for the deaf brothers and sisters who are seeking God, despite their shortcomings and fears.
- On Valentine’s Day, we celebrated with three deaf couples from Celaya, Querétaro, and León–it was wonderful. Pray for their marriages to reflect Christ’s love for the church.
- At the end of February, we shared the Gospel with a deaf girl named Mireya from León. She believed! We will continue following up with her.
In 2026, as we continue to teach about Christ through the Holy Spirit according to the Bible, we are allowing two scriptures to guide us this year. The first is Ephesians 2:10:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
In our ministry to the Deaf in central Mexico, our goal is not to just provide Bible knowledge, but rather, through faithful teaching and sharing of scripture, the Deaf community would fall in love with Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and desire to walk in a manner that glorifies the Lord. This year, we will continue this focus, but also dedicate ourselves to helping the Deaf community understand what it means to walk in good works, as Ephesians 2:10 says, and how they can do this by the Lord’s grace.
We want them to see that it is through grace that they have come to repentance, and through that same grace, they can live their lives for Christ. We will focus on this as we minister to the Deaf, and trust in the Holy Spirit to grow the faith and produce good fruit in those who come to know the Lord.
Finally, another scripture that will guide us this year is Acts 2:45:
And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.
As you may recall, Marco and his wife, Jazz, were unemployed for the past year. Some of the deaf brothers and sisters from León, inexplicably, decided to share their resources to support them. It was wonderful to see the Holy Spirit guiding them to share their resources. So we will dedicate ourselves to supporting the needs of the Deaf, in which we are ministering.
And praise to God! Marco and Jazzkara have recently found jobs! after a whole year of unemployment. God is good, very good.
So, this year, we will focus on applying these two biblical passages as we reap the harvest. We will evangelize, disciple, and baptize, and continue helping the Deaf come to know and love Jesus, serve Him, and find rest in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
